Asa Philip Randolph Receives Honorary Doctorate from Edwards College
On May 10, 2014, A. Philip Randolph received an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters from Edward Waters College. Dr. Randolph is credited with being the major organizer of the 1963 March on Washington. For his civil and labor rights work, he received the Medal of Freedom in 1964 from President Lyndon B. Johnson.
