APRI Raleigh, North Carolina GOTV Efforts w/ Danny Glover

On October 11, 2008 actor Danny Glover came
to Raleigh North Carolina for the NC NAACP 65th
Annual State Convention. While in Raleigh
Mr. Glover was gracious enough to stop by the
A. Philip Randolph Institute Office.
He
gave a short speech to the children on how
important it is for them to stay in school, get
an education and voters’ rights.
After speaking to the children, Mr. Glover signed the form for Health Care for all American Now, and signed autographs for APRI members and other supporters.
Mr. Glover and APRI members went to Kroger Shopping Center in (Pinehill) on Martin Luther King Blvd; he signed autographs, took pictures with Stan Dorsey owner of (Ultimate Dezigns) and other fans.
The lit droppers went to the Southeast Raleigh Communities placed 2427 voters guide door to door. The literature included, the 2008 Complete Non-Partisan No-excuses Guide to Voting in NC, also information on getting a ride to the polls.
