Dear Brothers\Sisters:

The A. Philip Randolph Institute, San Francisco Chapter requests your sponsorship of our Annual Fundraising Dinner on Friday, April 23, 2010 (5:30 pm reception; 6:30pm dinner). The dinner will be held at the San Francisco Marriott Hotel, 55 Fourth Street, San Francisco, CA 94103. The theme for this year is:

“A Historical Celebration of Asa Philip Randolph & His Congressional Recognition”

The A.  Philip Randolph Institute (APRI) is a national and non-profit and union affiliated organization founded in 1985. APRI is a vital and creative force within the African- American community and committed to civil rights, economic development and voter education and participation. Founded by Asa Philip Randolph himself, the father of the Black Movement in the US, he has spearheaded unprecedented historical advancements in the black community and in trade unions that brought forth the likes of Martin Luther King, Rosa Parks and so forth.

APRI-SF is a 501©(3) non-profit corporation that salutes Asa Philip Randolph by continuing his work and commitment to righteousness and economic emancipation. Our chapter’s mission is to empower residents of the Southeast Sector of San Francisco through civic and electoral education and engagement; to engage residents in employment training and opportunities; to achieve social and economic equality and success. Your support to our fundraiser supports our Economic Job Development and Community Training Programs; Annual Thanksgiving Basket Giveaways; Annual Violence Free Summer Unity Celebration Events; and the Voter Registration and Education Program.

Most important, your contributions will enable APRI to continue to be a leader and voice for the disenfranchised communities in San Francisco. Our community faces many issues like high unemployment and crime rates and disproportionate health and educational disparities. With your sponsorship, APRI can continue to lead and help the community.

Please download the [Sponsorship & Advertising Package] for your consideration. We hope you can support and help the community.

Respectfully Yours,

James A. Bryant,

San Francisco Chapter President
