Phillip Randolph Institute, which serves as an outreach group to African Americans on behalf of the AFL-CIO and organized labor unions generally.
Political Activities:
While ostensibly an educational fund, large portions of the Fund’s income is spent on civic engagement outreach. Much of the funds earmarked for electioneering are funneled through local chapters of the APREF.
Overall, the APREF and the APRI are highly intertwined, sharing the same president, Clayola Brown.
